This strike, we celebrate and honor working women, Black women, women of color, Native women, Palestinian women, disabled women, immigrant women, Muslim women, lesbian, queer and trans women.
This strike, we celebrate and honor the working class and socialist roots of the first working women’s march in Petrograd, Russia in 1917.
This strike, we honor the call of Rasmea Odeh, a Palestinian campaigner and activist who has fought tirelessly for the rights of Palestinian women.
As Students for Justice in Palestine and Jewish Voice for Peace, we celebrate and honor the long history of resistance by Palestinian women and their role in resisting occupation.
We honor the Palestinian women in the 1929 Jerusalem women’s conference protesting against the Balfour Declaration.
We honor the Palestinian women who took up armed struggle against Zionist forces after al-Nakba.
We honor the Palestinian women who rose up in the first and second intifada, who organized relief services, raised funds for prisoners, organized underground schools.
We honor the thousands of Palestinian women who have resisted against Israeli occupation, who have died in Israeli prisons and detention centers, in raids on Gaza and the West Bank, shot dead by racist Israeli policemen and soldiers.
We honor all the Black and Brown women in Black Liberation and anti-racist movements who have stood in solidarity with Palestinian women throughout the years.
This March 8, we call for an end to all forms of systemic racism, surveillance, profiling and assassinations targeting Black and Brown women, from the United States to Palestine!
This March 8, we call for an end to all forms of racialized violence and police brutality against Black and Brown women, from Ferguson to Palestine!
